Stroke Development

"for swimmers looking to refine technique and increase stamina"

Introduction: 

The Stroke Development stage is the final stage in the Swim Online programme. This stage is aimed at swimmers who enjoy swimming and are considering taking their aquatic journey further. This stage is the bridge between the learn to swim programme and competitive swimming.

Skill Required: 

  • Swimmers should be confident over  multiple lengths of the pool.

  • Have a good understanding of the main swimming strokes Front crawl, Back crawl, Breaststroke, Butterfly.

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the breathing practises for each of the strokes.

​

Distance covered:

100m - 400m+ per swim  â€‹

 

Key objectives: 

  • Pre swim club preparation.

  • Refining stroke technique and building speed.

  • Refining skills, tumble turns, introducing push and glide transitions, treading water etc.
